A Delightful Recreation
From before his days at the College of William and Mary until the end of his life, Thomas Jefferson loved music. He amassed a huge collection of sheet music, from which these selections are taken. The songs were recorded in Colonial Williamsburg at the Governor's Palace with instruments of the period. Jefferson played the violin at the Palace during his student days and also during his tenure as Virginia's governor.
