For colonists chafing under imperial rule, the stamp act was the last straw. Some expressed their dissatisfaction through their tea services. Simply designed body with deep red lettering and garlands. Spout and handle in the shape of vines reflect the 18th-century interest in nature. Made in Leeds, England, by Hartley Greens & Co., famous since 1770 for exquisite Creamware.
